In addition to working with over a hundred companies at Peopledesign, Kevin co-wrote Brand Identity Essentials, a book for brand designers and educators worldwide, now in its second edition. He is an adjunct professor at Northwestern University and Michigan State University and regularly conducts workshops and speaks on strategy and design at various universities, industry conferences, and client events.

Kevin has focused on building brands since his first job at Herman Miller, the iconic global design brand based in Michigan. Kevin has been interested in the overlap of business and brand building from early in his career, as a consultant and writing a book on brand-building, later earning a masters degree from IIT Institute of Design in design-led innovation (design thinking).

Kevin has been on the forefront of design for technology starting with his undergraduate degree from Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh. There he was among the winners of an international competition sponsored by Apple about mobile computing. In the last few years, Kevin also served as the president of IxDA, the Interaction Design Association, a global group of professionals from six continents, holding events in North America, Latin America, and Europe.
